The symposium was officially opened at the BPPT auditorium on Tuesday, September 4 morning with welcoming remarks by Dr. Ridwan Djamaluddin, Deputy Chairperson for Know-how of Pure Assets representing BPPT Chairperson, U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Kristen Bauer, and Dr. Idwan Suhardi, Deputy for Science and Technology Enhanced Utilization representing Minister of Analysis and Expertise.

The collaboration in Impacting Research Innovation and Technology (IMPRINT) project entails DST’s partnership with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to address such major societal and developmental needs as healthcare, data and communication technology, vitality, sustainable habitat, nano technology, water sources and river techniques, advanced materials, security and defence, and atmosphere and climate change associated mitigation and adaptation.

Functionality to applying marine science and technology in studies on marine characteristics and bodily and chemical processes, physical and chemical interactions with marine organisms, numerical mannequin to simulate the dynamics of marine motion and to predict unfold of waste and other supplies, prediction model to discover marine sources and surroundings, mannequin of habitat quality improvement; science, technology and art of acoustics and instrumentation, Marine Geographic Data system, instrument design to discover marine resources and atmosphere and provision of consultancy companies.
